Starvation slowly approaching...
Mar. 6th, 2007 04:22 pmI'm hungry...
I've been hungry for days, only eating as much as I need to for my stomach not to hurt. And there are two reasons for that:
a) It's my time of the month, and I don't eat much during this time of the month.
but mainly
b) It's the Lent, and my mom has taken to cooking meat very rarely, instead providing us with vast amounts of vegetables and legumes.
Yes, I know that's the way it should be, religiously speaking. And I also know that it's better for our health not to eat meat six days a week, as is my wont. But seriously... one meatless meal per day is all I can manage.
If I disappear any time before 8 April (Greek Orthodox Easter), it means I've starved to death.
See ya,
Anna.

Date: 2007-03-06 08:32 pm (UTC)I normally fast only during the last week of the Lent. No meat, no eggs, no milk, nothing coming from animals. But now my mom is bent into keeping us as far away from meat as possible during the entirety of the Lent. For one, she will just plain refuse to cook meat on Wendesdays and Fridays (supposedly the most 'sacred' days).
Anyways... I'll try to avoid meat as much as I can. I just don't think that means very much. :p
See ya,
Anna.
