Expressive enough?
Feb. 19th, 2006 01:28 pmI hate that distinctive sign of womanhood. It so ruins my mood. ("Blah" is just the word for it.)
I need to study - I didn't study at all yesterday. Two hours of Adv. Maths class first thing in the morning, a three-hour Adv. Physics exam afterwards (and all that while suffering a terrible headache), then one hour of helping my brother with his own Adv. Maths homework... a girl can only take too much on a Saturday.
But since today I'm in a "blah" mood, the Adv. Maths books and notebooks are sitting open in front of me and I just can't bring myself to even look at them. Such a shame, I've gotten to really enjoying this subject.
I was looking for something that doesn't require much concentration to do - reading or writing fic, unfortunately, do not fall in that category :( But then I remembered that I still wasn't 100% satisfied with the layout of this LJ... So first I went hunting for an icon. I wanted something earthly - for some reason, I want this LJ to have an earthly look. I had envisioned something like a brown leaf on a pale green background, but had no clue as to where to look for something like that. (Any ideas?) So I searched for L&C icons instead (I already had one but it was blue/purple, didn't really match) and found this one on
followtomorrow, BanAnna's graphics journal - isn't it great?
Afterwards, I worked on the title - for some reason, the word 'expression' was stuck on my mind and I wanted it in there. I think it expresses me *grins*. Then I searched for a nice layout that would come with an earthly colour combination like I wanted it - and found this one I'm very satisfied with :) The moodtheme was much harder; I found several nice ones but not *THE* one. I ended up with those foxies, though, they quite match and they're cute :))
Now that I'm done with the basics, I might try changing some of the other stuff - titles for the pages and the like. Then again, as I've said before, I suck at titles, so maybe I'll just stick with the default options. I just hope that the blah-ness will wear off soon, because I'd hate to have my Sunday go to waste.
See ya,
Anna.

Date: 2006-03-14 06:39 pm (UTC)well its ok we are not going to hang you upside down and beat you with a stick because of it... and judging from what happened in 24 yesterday You are lucky to be a spoiler phobic.
of course on the other hand you missed the WW News.
I guess its a classic case of you win some you loose some...
I get the actual show through
I cant wait for Prison Break and Lost and until the 12th of March West Wing to start again...
A show you want to keep your eye out for that hasent started yet is studio 60 on the sunset strip but I HIGHLY reccomend it when it starts. Its aaron Sorkin. Trust me when I tell you the man can banter. He has openly stated that he cant ship anyone so he banters instead...
Anyway me and my friend that are told you about always are open to other TV fans. Whenever you feel like it we are there.......

PS: WE was awesome and very productive on a wedding-planning level. Maybe I should change my carreer path? (g) So, in 30 hours best friend already has:choosen her wedding dress, we also scrolled my mp4 librairy and choosed the musics we'll be partying on (I burned 4 CDs plus compressed 8 hours of Nova Tunes mix), brought wedding focused books and Nougatine has a clearer idea of the bouquet she wants and the table decoration she wants. I also brought decorations for the bride and groom's table and both of them think they rocks (phew, I haven't lost my touch!)
Wedding will be in France (I can tell you here 'cause it's your blog so no one I know except you will read this). the room is reserved and we (the Gang) will all go there to help decorating it the day before D-date. traiteur isn't quite determined yet, but there are 2 names in mind.
PPS: and to start the day and week in style, I have THE SCOOP I've been hunting since a year. I felt it and now it's official and I have all the confirmations I need to print it. DS are hot, but I can still make it for next edition, YAY! I love how this week starts! I love it when I'm on top of tops!
BTW...
Date: 2006-02-21 04:46 pm (UTC)(/me thinks LC & 'Soulmates' episode at the sole mention of "the fox". LOL!)
