Maths and Botany update
Jun. 15th, 2007 03:47 pmHey,
I meant to update yesterday but I got distracted :p
So, Maths exam went okay. Could have gone better, though. Firstly, I'd be happier with more exercises on differential equations, which I had studied intensively but there was very little of them after all :-/ And secondly, I misunderstood the phrasing of a problem and did it all wrong, although it was very easy :-/ I'm hoping that the teacher will understand what was wrong and count my effort for something.
If I'm very lucky, and since I did all my points-earning homework last semester, I might get an 8. Very lucky 8, that will be. But I'll be optimistic.
Also, the Botany lab results are out, and I got a 7.7!! OMG. With the 6, 7 and 7.5 I had in the first three tests I hadn't dared hope for a grade so high. I hope these are the general lab grades, and not just the practical exam results. Which wouldn't be so bad, of course, but it's better if it is the general lab grade XD
Next exams up: Statistics and Physiology I, both on Wednesday. Statistics I can only fail :p Physiology I, who knows. I had studied it a bit last semester but it's a subject with a huge volume of material. So, we'll see.
See ya,
Anna.

Date: 2007-06-15 06:56 pm (UTC)Anyway, congrats on your Botany results!
Could you maybe give me a short insight what mark 8 and 7 and everything means? I mean, I'm happy when you are but still, it would be interesting to know how they grade in Greece.
And, last but not least, good luck for Statistics (which I hated - fortunately I'm finally done with it for the next 2 years) and Physiology (eeek, that already sounds complicated)!
I'm sure, you'll be doing pretty well!

Date: 2007-06-16 12:46 am (UTC)In Greek universities, best possible is 10, base is 5, and least possible is 1. So 8 and 7 are quite good grades :)
Thanks for the wishes! :)
See ya,
Anna.

Date: 2007-06-15 09:48 pm (UTC)I sense there is something wrong with my logic but I don't feel like digging deep enough to find the problem.UM, DUH, ANNA. Because you = pwnful, therefore it only makes sense that your Botany results would be that high. But YAY AWESOME JOB, anyhow. :] I'm sure it was well-deserved.
♥ And good luck, especially for Statistics XD

Date: 2007-06-16 12:00 am (UTC)And good luck with the math grade. Here's hoping that you have once again (as you so often seem to) underestimated yourself.
