Ladies and gentlemen, it's... an update!

These past few days, I've mastered writing in circles. As in, writing a bit, getting to a point that requires additional explaining/fixing of previous parts, going back to add/fix it, editing in between parts for consistency, continuing from where I had left off, getting to another point that requires me to fix stuff, and so on.

*headache*

So, my calendar says I haven't updated in over a week. Not for lack of interesting things in my life, or lack of time to write about them, or even lack of interest in LJ (because I've been reading my f-list religiously). I just wasn't in the mood, I guess.

Sit-in still going strong.

And I can't think of anything else to write, except that writing in circles is tedious and productivity-hindering and I should pay more attention to what I'm writing or this will go on forever.

I'm doing well, incidentally. It just the 'why, oh why won't this scene just fix itself?' kind of headache.

I'm off to kill some brain cells by reading from babb_chronicles. Which reminds me - does anyone of you have/can make a 'Grammar Nazi' icon for me? Perhaps something like this one, only less widely used. Thanks in advance. :)

Oh Anna, *sob*, I'm so screwed, it's insane :(

I haven't done any of my work... I've got about 4 paragraphs into my 3 essays history coursework :S :( It's so stressful, I wanna cry!!!!! And I'm so panicked and I just wanna SCREAM! AHHH! :S

Also, I've realised I'm a WEAK PERSON, A W-E-A-K P-E-R-S-O-N!!! :( I actually had to TURN OFF my wireless to stop myself going on lj, myspace, msn, etc... And I still end up on them :( I'm so dumb :S

Anyway, I better go do history (or at least think about it) Livs xxxxx

p.s. Sorry to offload my history coursework and other work issues on you..... I keep telling everyone about it :S

The grammar nazi icon you linked to is from obsessiveicons and was made by ladytalon. She's got others that are also ranting about stuff. I also have one that's a collection of slides saying *** is not a word. Examples were: teh, u, r, joo, b/c, etc. Actually, I have a whole folder of grammar & mechanics-related icons that I collected, besides all the anti-misspelling and grammar nazi ones by ladytalon. Anything you're wanting? ;)

Is it normal that the sit-in is still going on? I gather that it is done for a good purpose, but aren't they actually overlooking one major point? You do get behind in your study, this is what, a month and half now? How are you ever to catch up on the lost time? And I can only imagine how bored you must be getting... yay for achieving some writing, though! Is it an idea to just write the scene and then go back and add in all the changes at once? That should save time and feel more productive.

Unfortunately, it's normal. Imagine that, in comparison to other universities, we've done a hell of a lot of progress - finishing the first semester and even taking a few exams! It's ridiculous, really.

Your idea isn't bad, actually, although usually when I try to do that my mind usually gets fixated to the 'something is wrong' bit and refuses to go on. At least if I do some advance *planning*...
