I have got to say, that was so cool!!! (And I know you said you tried it multiple times, but still, I'm very impressed with your English, Anna!)

So, how did you actually do the voice post (not that I can try it, but I'm curious)? Do you use a phone or a computer microphone or what?

Thank you! I didn't think it would impress you so much, since you've listened to my English in all its RL glory... *g*

I used a computer microphone and LJ Talk. I had already installed it, so I just needed to register a phone number and PIN. Then I had to call lj_bot using LJ Talk and record my message. The FAQ says it can also be done via telephone, but I doubted calling in would be free. :p (I'm kind of doubting voiceposting via LJ Talk is free too, though, otherwise why would they ask for a phone number? But anyways... I thought of it as practice. :p)

Oh my god your accent is simply WONDERFUL! Really, it's gorgeous! And your English is very good, too.
My accent seems so horribly bland next to yours.

I've never done a voice post. I keep meaning to ask my friend how to do them but I never remember.

Aww Anna, your accent is so pretty! I could just listen to this a billion times and probably still not take in what you're actually saying haha. But I hope it didn't cost you too much to do, seeing as it took you so long =P

I never have a Valentine either, heh. Though my friend Maili (ninjapirategirl on here) and I exchanged red roses cause they were selling them in school ^__^ So it was pretty cute.

Sorry the sit-in is still going on, making the exams up in the air. But, hey, at least you get some time off from stressing. ;)

As for the accent discussion... I know Americans, at least, (and maybe others, too) are fascinated by all things foreign. For example, if I had a set of really good looking twins in front of me, if one had a foreign (or even a Southern *g*) accent, he'd be so much hotter. *g* Unexplained phenomena? Who knows? *g*

Yeah, I'm not very much into leaving messages either. I'm not even much of a telephone fan. :p But I thought I'd take advantage of this perk while I still had it. *g*

Hee, interesting. *g* Now that I think about it, I think I had the concepts of 'foreign accent' and 'broken English' messed up in my mind. I enjoy listening to people speaking proper but accented Greek. But it's a rare phenomenon, rarer than people speaking proper but accented English, methinks.

That was so neat! Your English sounded just fine! I go to a pretty international school here, so I'm totally used to accents. I truly don't get tripped up until the Taiwanese start talking. It's my only listening downfall so far. *g* I think our American accents here sound soooo boring LOL.

If you're epi ptyxio, you have it worse... I can only imagine how frustrating it must be, being this close to finishing your studies and yet unable to! Se poia sxolh eisai?

I usually stay home, go a bit to the gym and that's it. Somehow almost all of my friends live too far away for us to be able to meet up every day. :(

First of all and let me get this out of the way... your english is fine. Second of all I dont have a cell phone. So I have no way of knowing how much it will cost you. Remind me to rectify that cell phone problem. I really should get one one of these days.

Did you try a logographo to make posts? You can sorta "educate it to recongise your voice and then just talk into a mic and watch it type for you. I havent tryied it and I dont know if it works but I think its doable.

Don't worry you are not the only person who does not get affected by valentine. Never have. Even when I didnt look as bad as I do right now. Its all too commercionalised and lovey dovey for me. Plus I am not a catholic. And what the hell you need an exuse to celebrate that you love someone? If you love them that day you love them the next and previous day also and should treat them every day like its valentines day.

I don't have a logographo. I have a microphone but that's it. In any case I don't think I need one, since if I want something written down, I just type it. After all these years using computers, I've become a really fast typist. :D

I think the idea behind Valentine's Day isn't bad, but it's pretty much like Mother's Day. I mean, Mother's Day won't make you love your mother more, and she's certainly not expecting a present from you in order to feel loved. Same with Valentine's Day.

Aaaannna, you know the word "alter"? Other than it meaning change, could you use the same spelling for a wedding alter? Or is it altar? Because I've seen it spelt both ways but I'm not sure if the "alter" people are just wrong, lol.
(this is related to my 100_situations thing, sorry XD)

Does it help that a second meaning of 'to alter' is 'to castrate'? (And no, I didn't know that before looking up to check for any other meanings of the word...)
