Okay, is it a problem that I'm not all that excited about knowing the release date of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?

First of all, I have nothing to look forward to, but a friends-list full of spoilers. Waiting about the Greek version to come out is out of the question, so I suppose I'll have to hope a shipment of the English version will arrive to a bookstore near me soon enough. Or that one of you fantastic people will manage to find and email me a Word document of the book. [livejournal.com profile] nene2811, are you out there? And let's not go near waiting outside bookstores in the middle of the night and stuff. Even if there *was* going to be such a hype, which I highly doubt (I didn't pay much attention to what happened last time around, but I'm predicting something along the lines of the bookstores bringing some copies a couple of days later, without making such a fuss except for the obligatory HP7 posters) it's not for me.

Secondly, the book coming out will signify the end of the HP series. I'm a fan of this series. I don't want it to end. Plain and simple.

And, lastly, it's coming out too soon. Yes, I did say "too soon". I was hoping it would take more than two years; I was hoping for a huge book, longer than OotP, that would tie all loose ends, bring in lots of backstory... you know, if it's going to be the last fix, make it a big one. And I know that JKR tying all loose ends wouldn't be very helpful for the fanfic writers, but there's always something you can work on.
It better be a good book, or I might have to resort to drastic measures. Like writing an original fantasy novel and getting it published to take people's minds off HP, or something.

See ya,
Anna.

P.S.: I really really must hurry and finish Through Times Of War.

Ahh, Anna, I completely agree.
Well obviously not on the Greek thing, although I feel for you, heh. But I really really hoped JKR would take her time over book 7... it being the last, and has to finish everything. I wanted her not to hurry it, cause I don't want it to end either, and I'd rather it be absolutely bloody stunning than just regularly good, if that makes sense. I know it'll be great no matter what, but... I sort of want to make the most of this little bit of time before it's all over.

Ooh, write an original fantasy novel! That would be incredible!

Exactly! I hate to think that Book 7 might have been written in a rush. That couldn't possibly work well.

An original fantasy novel needs originality and fantasy, I'm afraid. :p But I know I want to write *something*, so we'll see how that will turn out. :D

See ya,
Anna.
