Post Salonica weekend post
Now that I'm done catching up with my f-list, it's time for an update.
I had a great time at Salonica. Seeing![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
athanamia again was great - there was so much to do and talk about! And I also saw Myrto, one of the two girls from primary school I've stayed in touch with. She's also studying in Salonica, so I figured we'd meet up; she and athanamia got along great, which made me really happy :)
In addition, I got to see a bit more of the city (I'd been there a couple of times but only for a bit of sightseeing the basics) and it reinforced my opinion that it's beautiful :D (They've got buses that have ticket vending machines INSIDE them! No fair.) And the travel was good. The train was quite comfortable, and I had Dan Brown's Angels and Demons for re-reading. (Thankfully, reading in the train doesn't make my stomach turn upside down. Reading in the car does.) I also had a notebook, and started scribbling a Lily/James oneshot on the way to Salonica. I thought I'd finish it on the way home, but no Muse. Sunday was not a Muse day in general; I also tried to work on NaNoWriMo a bit, while athanamia watched a writer at work (:p), but it was a complete failure.
Anyways, I think I'll type up the story and try to finish it later. Can't hurt to give it a shot.
(Yes, I'm nerd enough that I took all of my WIPs with me, in my newly-bought flash disk.)
(And BTW, I am aware that I keep alternating between Salonica and Thessaloniki in my posts. I just use whatever comes to mind at the time, since both are correct :p)
Okay, what else? Oh! I got a haircut! My hair's a bit shorter now, getting gradually shorter at the front, and I also have a fringe. I wanted a change; and I was actually afraid that it wasn't 'different' enough, but Dad said it looks very different, so we're good. He's not normally one to notice a change at one's looks. (I take after him.)
On Friday (gotta love the timeline on this post!), an aunt came to visit and 'bring me a present, as a means to congratulate me for getting admitted into to the university'. She came carrying five different bags, containing five different pieces of clothing. (!) They're all fabulous, only I have to go change the jeans tomorrow because they don't fit me. (Story of my life. Finding pants that fit is never easy for me.)
And the big shock of the day: I went to gym this evening! (Gasp.) I hadn't been in over a month - since I started class full schedule. Always got home too tired for that. But yesterday I realized climbing stairs was starting to get tiring again, which meant it was high time to start exercising again. Plus, this morning I was so sleepy I almost fell asleep in class, so during our break I had a coffee. I don't normally drink coffee, so it has a strong effect on me: it kept me awake and alert all day. So no excuse to slack off from gym :D
Class was great today. Despite being sleepy during Anatomy, I had no trouble following. And I also understood perfectly everything we did during our three hours of Physiology I. (I think that's setting a new record.) I'm now so foolishly proud of myself :D
Had no appetite today. Didn't finish lunch or dinner. Good? Bad? Probably good; I'm not thin enough for it to be considered bad yet. And I have Mom's support on that: "eat as much as you want, don't pressure yourself."
I should have updated Through Times Of War already, but I think I'll leave it for tomorrow. Too tired to go over it right now. Also too tired to work on the notes my beta sent me on chapter 14. I think it's time to watch a La Usurpadora episode...
