Sunday's bitchy update
Nov. 12th, 2006 10:28 pmIt amuses me how many people replied to my ad about selling my little brother in the window of a few hours :D So good to know I get some sympathy around here :D
Today wasn't my lucky day with kids, all in all.
It started with Thodoris, apparently, who came to pester me by being his usual loud, demanding, ball-dribbling self IN MY ROOM and request for me to download for him a bunch of songs, most of which annoy the heck out of me. Of course, I said I wouldn't - just because of the way he asked it. Which is why he then complained at Dad and I got yelled at because I wouldn't do my poor brother a favour.
Seriously, I love Thodoris, and he can be a very sweet boy, but he knows how to get on my nerves and often does it just to enjoy the view of me angry and yelling. My mom also has this habit, which is why, when I'm annoyed with somebody, it's almost certainly one of these two.
(Yes, I know I'm a fool for falling for their tricks, but I can't help it.)
Anyways. So, we were invited at the house of some friends for lunch and coffee - the parents of a girl who's in Thodoris's Gymnastics team, and so they've got to know my parents too. Lunch was good. Then we went down to play - me and my brothers, plus Thodoris's teammate and a five-year-old girl who's goddaughter of the mother of the family.
Please, tell me that any future daughters of mine will NOT be such annoying pests for the other children when they grow up.
Seriously, we began a game of Scrabble, and she would insist to play. I told her she could be 'in my team' because I'm a nice girl and don't like to hurt the little children's feelings. So she kept messing with my letters, and the rest of the letters, and the board, and would insistently stick letters next to other words, ESPECIALLY when it was my turn and I was trying to think. Argh.
By the time we were done with Scrabble, I was bored stiff and wanted to go home (and get away from that little girl while I was at it), but I had to suffer through a game of Monopoly, too, during which I was also in the same team with that little girl who would throw the dices for me, mess with my cards and money, and move all the pawns at random places on the board.
*sobs*
Really, it was THAT bad. Even Thodoris, who is very tolerant with little children and likes playing with them, became so annoyed after a while he wanted to smack her.
Uh, so. I guess this day's posts make me sound like an all around irritable, whiny bitch, but... I guess you caught me on a bad day. Unlucky you.
The rest of the day was okay; I watched the Charmed episode I recorded while we were out, I finished re-reading Enid Blyton's Mystery of Banshee Towers (don't ask me how many times I've read the four books of the 'Mystery' series I own - I love them), Olympiakos won 5-0... 'twas good :D (The mood is cranky because I had to relive all of today's events in order to share them with you, though.)
I'll be off to take a shower and then I'll try to write a little. I'm in a Lily/James mood lately but it doesn't seem to come out as writing mood. Darn it.
See ya,
Anna.

Date: 2006-11-13 04:35 am (UTC)kids. i know better than to reproduce, unless i marry a SERIOUS family guy who can cook. otherwise, 1) they'll starve, and 2) i just look at them blankly like *ok what am i supposed to do with you*. i have no clue how to interact with them...

Date: 2006-11-14 12:53 am (UTC)I have a question: Do you speak greek with your family? or do you speak english? Or do you not even live in Greece?
P.S. I like your brothers name :) It's fun to try and pronounce though my mom thinks I'm insane and talking gibberish.

Date: 2006-11-14 08:34 pm (UTC)Ahh, no worries. I wouldn't be able to pronounce it anyways. I'm bad with the English language and that the only language i can speak fluently.
