Saturday's thoughts
Oct. 7th, 2006 10:54 pmI'm such a slacker. Only went to gym once during the whole week.
It's starting to get boring, because during the summer I used to go while there was an interesting programme on TV to watch while on the treadmill. Now there's nothing interesting on TV at all, and listening to the radio... I don't know, I've kinda grown tired of it. I listen to too much music during the day.
Perhaps I'll try audiofic.
We had visitors tonight. Some people that... well, I guess you could say they're not my favourite. Though it was mostly the adults who came over, and I didn't spend much time with them anyway. The daughter who's my age didn't come over. The cousin who's five or so years younger than me did. I'm such a good host I let her play on my laptop and watch on my TV while I went on another TV to watch football *g* (Greece-Norway 1-0, yay!!!). Afterwards I did spend some time with her, playing games at www.looneytunes.com.
Oh, I forgot the highlight of the evening: the power outage. Yeah, we had a thunderstorm and power went down for... I think it must have been an hour or so - with a couple of little breaks. It really annoyed me, because my laptop's battery is dead - so I had absolutely nothing to do until the power came back. Plus Thodoris was so loud and irritating - more than usual. He chooses the worst times to get irritating.
Whatever. I guess the evening wasn't too bad after all. Though I don't know why my mood is so bleh.
On the good news site, yesterday's driving class went amazingly well. For the first time I felt I was actually in control of the car the whole time. Perhaps it had something to do with the car - it was another one, same model, but older. Today I had class with the usual car - it wasn't as good as yesterday, but better than other times. The instructor said he'll arrange for me and this other girl, who was in the same school with me and we coincidentally ended up taking driving classes with the same instructor, to have our examination on Friday. (I'm so going to fail it. But meh.)
Have been updating my icons. Of the old ones, I only kept the Tonks from Sims 2 one. I need one more, and I have an idea of what I want... off to see if I can pull it off.
Oh, before I go - watching La Usurpadora again (I caught the last few episodes on TV this spring, but it's not the same as watching the whole thing) is so fabulous.
un_sedentary, I can't thank you enough.
That's all for today. (Hey, this time it shows for the post is wrong... think my settings are off? Will have to look into it. I'll keep this time for now, though, because the post will show with Saturday's date this way. And I *am* talking about my Saturday.)
See ya,
Anna.

Date: 2006-10-08 09:19 pm (UTC)I saw the beginning of Esmeralda... story of my life. I don't think there was one telenovela I had a chance to see complete from beginning to end. :P Worse when I only see the beginning, though, because missing the first part doesn't bother me so much if I get to see the end. Anyway, it was great... I'd love to see it. Fernando Colunga is eye candy. *g*
La Intrusa: http://www.sendspace.com/file/5ctat5
Complete lyrics: http://www.uppercutmusic.com/artist_e/emmanuel_lyrics/intrusa_lyrics.html
(most websites only show the cut down lyrics, because obviously it was shortened for the show. :P)
While I'm at it, here's are a couple more telenovela themes I like.
Gaviota, from Cafe con Aroma de Mujer: http://www.sendspace.com/file/dzmfax
El Privilegio de Amar: http://www.sendspace.com/file/tt3tiu
Carita de Angel (more of a kids telenovela but the song is adorable): http://www.sendspace.com/file/xqq55i
(none of which I watched completely either. Oh, well. They were good, though.)
By the way, now that I'm going through my mo3 folder, do you remember a while back I was looking for a title by Marcela Morelo and asked you for help? Don't remember if I told you, but I found it *g* it was Tormento de Amor.

Date: 2006-10-08 09:40 pm (UTC)I never started watching a telenovela if I knew that for some reason I would have to stop watching it. There were a few ones I ended up missing episodes of (Laberintos De Pasión - I lost several of the last episodes, and although I got to watch the finale, I was so lost I couldn't understand what was going on. Grr.).
I am tentatively considering venturing into some of the newer telenovelas... or anyways, in older ones I haven't watched, out of curiosity. (The addiction is coming back... Really, I had grown out of them. Really. I backpedalled with the rerun of La Mentira.)
Thanks for the songs. They're nice.
Ah, good to know you found it. I have ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING by Marcela Morelo, if you want any songs. Also, of other telenovela themes... all Thalía ones (that I know of), La Mentira (as I've already told you), and... I think that's all, though I could be wrong. I'm currently downloading Prisionera (from a Gabriela Spanic telenovela that I didn't watch, but I caught the opening theme on TV and I liked it). Should be down in a while.
See ya,
Anna.
