Tomorrow morning I've got two exams: History and Sociology.

Darn it, I've been studying these subjects throughout the year - very few kids have done that. But these past few days I haven't studied much, because... I was bored, mostly. And, naturally, I'm feeling guilty. As if I've thrown all the studying I did during the year out the window.

I'm ashamed. And out of time - I've only got seven (tops) hours until bedtime. And there's just NO WAY I'll spend all of them studying. So... yes. Out of time. oaijflekrsndg! [frustrated typing]

Wish me luck, please?

Thankies!

♥ Anna.

"Siege of Plataea?" When was there a Siege of Plataea? If Thucydides wrote about it, then you're not talking about the Greek vs. Persians battle in 479 B.C., right? That wasn't much of a siege anyway.

(If that's what you're talking about, however, I've got a book with info on it. Not very detailed, but it covers all the basics. You could work with a summary.)

If you need any answers to these questions on Ancient Greek Democracy and whatnot, feel free to ask. Also, if there are any words you don't understand.

No grammar? Grammar is my forte.

See ya,
Anna (who is studying modern History)

Basically, we're covering bits of the period 1819-1974: The policy of the foreign countries towards the Revolution of the Greeks against the Turks in 1821 (but not about the actual revolution - we learned about that three years ago, you see... *shrug*), the Balcanian Wars (1912-1913) the reasons behind World War I and its consequences (but not the actual war... *shrug*), a lot about the World War II (causes and consequences, the developments in Greece throughout that timeframe...), and other stuff, mostly about with Greece and its neighbours. Some bright minds figured that learning random "but important" pieces of history would be better than learning everything about a shorter period of time. Hrmph. Otoh, most of the kids I know won't remember a thing come July, so what difference does it make anyway?

Anyways, just holler if you need anything about the vocabulary.

See ya,
Anna.

Aha! Asked Daddy and he knew about the Siege of Plataea.

He still has his old Thucydides schoolbook. I just took a look at it for now, but will read it thoroughly during the summer like the nerd I am.

Good luck for tomorrow!
See ya,
Anna :)
