I changed layout and default userpic again, in order to take advantage of my paid account features. *hugs anonymous benefactor to death*

How do you like the new layout? I'm not so sure about the userpic/layout combo, but it will do until I find a better fitting userpic.

I didn't go to class today - didn't think two hours of Botany would make any difference. But I still haven't started studying Maths. WTF. *smacks self with something heavy*

On another note, when, oh WHEN will my father learn to use a computer for himself? I'm tired of burning CDs and typing documents and printing files. And the frustrating part is that he goes and VOLUNTEERS for stuff, without having any clue what to do, counting on me to take care of things. *stabs*

Happy dance about the paid account. They are great are they not? Did you also get extra userpics with that? I like the fact that the principal colour is white. Black tires my eyes. Don't know why. Since you have a paid account why don't you go fandom? Or hobby crazy? Just a suggestion.

My dad does the exact same thing with me. I have showed him the basics a thousand times. They just refuse to sink in. Only to be exact in my case its my mum. I must have showed her how to use her GJ a thousand times. I sympathise.

It says: 'A solitary heart - that took the wrong way'. I don't expect everyone on my f-list to speak Spanish, don't worry.

The problem with black backgrounds is that your eyes get used to it and then when you get to another site with lighter backgrounds you can't read the letters :S That's why I like medium to completely white backgrounds for my journals.

I don't have the extra userpics add-on, only the 36 userpics of the paid account. They're good enough, though. I'm kind of difficult to please with userpics. Even when I had the add-on for 100 userpics a few months ago I used something like 30 slots. Huh.

Yeah, my parents aren't so good with the comp stuff, either. Mom learned how to use my old comp, more or less (she can do email and stuff). Except that comp dates back to the early 90s. As in too old to run Windows 95. She's slowly slowly getting the hang of more modern comps, but it's a long slow process.

Dad can use this comp sort of okay, but he's slow and inefficient and kind of clumsy.

Neither one really knows their way around.

Thing is... they're not going to learn very fast by themselves. What I really should do is teach Mom. Give her lessons. Walk her through things. I just haven't really been properly motivated and I find myself unusually short on patience for these things lately.

What I find more annoying is that Mom thinks that because I do know my way around a computer (well enough to find stuff with a search engine, use most common programs, browse around the web, etc), I must be some sort of "expert." As in "You can do that. You're good with computers." No, Mom. I can't. I can't program to save my life and I don't really know the backroads of the operating system as well as I learned DOS back in the day (and even that wasn't really so deep an understanding) and you know so little about these things that I can't even begin to explain to you why what you've seen me do and what you're asking me to do are so fundamentally different. *le sigh*

Anyway... Dad volunteering (essentially) you for stuff is not good. You should complain about that. It's a legitimate issue. And if you want him to know what he's doing... maybe see if you can find the time to teach him a few tricks?

I've taught him a couple of things that are simple and he likes to do often - such as, how to view pictures from a CD. But the problem is that he doesn't know the simplest things, such as the difference between left click and right click, and then he wants to learn things such as how to burn CDs. *sigh*

Usually, when I try to complain I do it too whinily (!) and then my father reprimands me because I prefer wasting my time with internet games instead of doing something he needs. *sigh* But I did tell him once that it was stupid of him to volunteer for a secretary position in the school board since he can't type :P He said he'll try to learn this summer. Hallelujah.

Ahh, love the layout. The icon is making me feel really nostalgic and I don't know why, because it's not like I've ever been to anywhere even remotely tropical.

Maths = pure evil. Unless you like it. Then... okay, I wouldn't know, I have yet to meet anyone who likes Maths. [Watch Anna be like, yes! I love Maths!]

LOL. I can't really say I love them. Or maybe it's more of a love/hate relationship. There are certainly subjects I like better (such as foreign languages).

I hope to get an 8, at least. I knew them too well last semester for it to go to waste like that. :-/

LoL My Mom is about 1000 times better than me at computers (like, she can actually hack things if she wanted), and I find that much more frustrating. :P

Of course I wasn't worried. Nore was I expecting everyone on your friends list to speak Spanish. But I think it is cool that you do.

Hey I love light and white layouts too. haven't you noticed my layouts lately? They are all light colours.

OMG how do you only use thirty userpics when you used to have a hundred is beyond me. I am a total sucker for them. I envy you. I am such an icon whore all of my slots are filled.
