Weekly update
Nov. 10th, 2006 11:08 pmNatalia Oreiro's Spanish in Muñeca Brava is so south-American-ly pronounced and so full of slang I almost prefer following the Romanian subtitles when she's speaking.
(Seriously, Romanian's easy to figure out, if you speak Spanish [or any other language with Latin roots, I guess]. Te rog! Ce e? Mǎ scuzaţi! [Okay, I admit it, I had to cheat on the accent over a. But at least I remembered there was one!] No idea what's the proper pronunciation, but I'm picking up the basics little by little :D)
I had a nice week. The weather was perfect: sunny and warm-ish. I love going out when the weather's like that, and it makes the long, long way tothe other side of the world the campuses very enjoyable. Last week it was all cold and rainy, and it SUCKED.
Uni is going real good. Except for Physiology I classes - this week we've had classes with a professor with a HIGHLY ANNOYING voice. My ears self-defensively switch off whenever she speaks. Monday's class in particular was a real waste of time. Well, not really, because I was sitting there with Eleni and Thodora (two girls I've come quite close with) and we had the fun of our lives. But learning-wise, it was.
Yesterday I tried harder, and actually managed to pay attention for half the duration of the class. Wow.
The rest of Uni life is great :) I enjoy it very much. Even though it's very tiring, and it's made me change my eating habits.
You see, I spent more than half my day outside and some days I have long classes that leave me no time to have a proper lunch. It's often that I wake up at 7 a.m., leave home on a glass of milk (I can't eat early in the morning) and don't have lunch until after 3 or 4 p.m.. I'm not much into snacks (the chocolate kind, yes, but those don't do much for hunger so there's no point in spending money on them) and I hate those cheese-pies and stuff they have at the cantine.
Thankfully, I don't get hungry; I've always had the ability to reduce any feelings of hunger when nothing I like is available, or when there's no time to eat, and these past few weeks I've mastered it. However, this also comes with becoming more picky when there *is* food available. If I'm gonna live on an empty stomach for over 8 hours, the food I'll get in the end must be worth it, right? (Must start eating eating some more fruit, though.)
Surprisingly, I haven't lost any weight.
Other news:
NaNoWriMo is going bad. Real bad. Just like all my WIPs at the moment. The Muse has left me :( She also took my Writing Mood with her. Those two are different entities: the Writing Mood can stop by even when the Muse is not here. But neither is here right now.
Also gone: Beta Mood, Studying Mood. Nonetheless, I'm planning to actually study a bit from my textbooks this weekendbut who am I kidding.
Annoying fact: MegaUpload's downloading slots are ALWAYS taken. I need my soaps! *sob*
Off to finish watching that Muñeca Brava episode...
See ya,
Anna.

Date: 2006-11-11 04:14 am (UTC)1. your professor with the annoying voice. reminds me of my art history prof in college and the 2 people i used to party with in my row in class.
2. eating. oh gosh, my eating schedule is so off this quarter! i don't get to eat lunch til 2, and i'm totally behind you. if i'm gonna wait 8 hours, i might as well buy myself a real sandwich from the shop. i actually did lose weight, but it's also due to my new brain medication, but i'm not complaining. *g* i was always pushing to lose those last 10 'college pounds,' but i had no plans to be motivated anytime soon haha.
3. studying? yeah i have vocabulary lists i need to start for my final on the 20th...the book did not get cracked tonight... :p

Date: 2006-11-12 12:53 pm (UTC)Because I use Firefox as the main browser I have downloaded the toolbar in internet explorer and it gives me slots without waiting for 50 slots. You will never find free slots. They give us 50 daily.
But I would highly reccomend Rapidshare.com Its really cool.

Date: 2006-11-12 01:03 pm (UTC)I no what you mean with the not being able to eat in the morning thing. I'm the same way. Anything solid goes past my lips and I want to vomit.(I also can't go to sleep after I've gone to the bathroom which I do every moornign as soon as I wake up.. thought you should know...)
Your Phisiology professor reminds me of my software teacher. She's got the most annoying voice. It's extremely high and sort of whiny sounding and her toady face make me want to throw sporks into her eyes.
I'm actually sort of glad I'm not the only one struggling with NaNoWriMo. My fanfiction of 1751 words is doing better than my novel. It's pretty sucky.
