José and Julie were right: eMule is awesome. I sat down and figured it out yesterday. Only 24 minutes to go until a .zip file containing 14 of Thalía's albums downloads, yay! I'd been downloading the same file on eDonkey for years, really, and I was still midway when eDonkey closed down. But eMule gives me an average downloading speed of 50 KB/sec for it. Yeah, baby!
*knocks on wood so as not to jinx it*
On other news, went to school - my old junior high and high school - this morning. Saw my teachers and got my diplomas for having an 'Excellent' average and for being first in class :) (It's a national holiday tomorrow - technically today, October 28 - so today there was no class, just a short ceremony in honor of it and the awarding of the top students.)
Also, saw
athanamia, who came back from Salonica for a few days. We also went out in the evening - went down to the center, did some shopping (I bought this gorgeous blue sweater for 5 euros, scandalous!!), grabbed some fast-food and caught up. I'd missed her *sniff*
And yet more good news, I'll go see her in Salonica next month!! Dad allowed me to spend the last weekend of November with her :) (He isn't exactly fond of the idea, but he knows I really want to go so he didn't say no :D)
All in all, lots of good news, despite the fact that around 8 p.m. I was truly pissed because stupid me miscalculated and lost the Suburban Railway train to the center. Had to have Dad drive me over to Line 1 train station and take the long way to the center. Good thing: if I had caught the Suburban Railway train I'd be early, so even with the delay I was on time :D
Wow, I hadn't written an entry so full of pointless little details of my everyday life in a while. Truth is, I'm awfully sleepy, and I'm just trying to keep myself awake until the .zip file downloads (Me is incorrigible. But hey, only 8 minutes to go!) without doing anything that requires much thought. And that's the only such thing available - anything even a tad more difficult and I'll fall asleep on my desk.
So... what else? Oh, right. I've told some of you already, but for those who don't know, I signed up for NaNoWriMo. (Nickname is Anna B. the Greek.) Let's see how that will go...
Mmm, yeah, that's all. Off to brush teeth and spend some time refreshing my email account and my friends page like an idiot until the .zip file comes down, then I'll go straight to bed, which rarely looks so inviting... *big yawn* (And it's not even 2 a.m., either! I'm making progress.)
See ya,
Anna.
ETA: It's down. I FINALLY HAVE THALÍA AND MUNDO DE CRISTAL AND LOVE OMGYAY.
