I know I've never done this before, but this fic deserves much love.

I was checking the latest update of [livejournal.com profile] hp_art_daily, when I found this drawing by [livejournal.com profile] gnatkip, which inspired [livejournal.com profile] shayachana to write a fabulously hilarious fic titled Zen and the Art of Mafia Repudiation.

Go check it out! It's only 700 words long, and it will amuse you to no end. (At least, if your sense of humour is anything like mine.)

See ya,
Anna.

The idea is that, in Harry Potter, the chess pieces are alive. When you're playing chess, you just tell a piece to go someplace on the board, and it does. When you defeat a piece, what happens is that your piece goes to where the other piece is sitting and smashes it. (Though they automatically repair themselves afterwards, of course, or you'd only be able to play once *g*)

So the Rook turning to a pacifist looked like a really fun idea to me :D

See ya,
Anna.

P.S.:

i found it interesting that the chess pieces are so much alive that they even argue with the player in the books.

thank you so much for the rec! *arms of victory*
