Sleep-deprivation, anyone?
Sep. 13th, 2006 12:42 amI need something to do while eating my yogurt, and since I do have some interesting things to say...
Let's start with yesterday night. Which was sucky. I went to bed at 3 a.m. (which for me is fairly regular, if not a little early - I make a habit of staying up late online, reading, writing, watching La Mentira or doing computer-related things in general). By 5 a.m., I was still awake. I couldn't sleep, and I was being surrounded by plot-bunnies. (Not sure whether that's a cause or an effect of the inability to sleep.) I don't know what time it was when I *finally* managed to sleep.
I do know what time it was when I woke up, though. It was 9:20. I think it was because the telephone rang. In any case - I had set up the alarm at 10 because
athanamia would be coming over, but didn't even manage to sleep until then. Though I didn't leave my bed until it was 9:50.
Athanamia did come over, and we had a great time. She's leaving to Salonica next week, sob. That's where she'll be studying. We're already making plans of me visiting her
Another studies-related news is that the webpage of my university department is *finally* up. I had been trying to access it since August 24 and it was down all the time. Now, I didn't quite find all the information I wanted (namely, the first semester classes), but there were at least some things on it.
What else? Ah, yes, was Champions League night tonight. Olympiakos lost to Valencia 2-4. :(( We watched the match with my dad, my brothers and my uncle.
(Linguistic comment: Valencia is a Spanish city. All commentators pronounce it 'Valenthia', in proper Castilian Spanish. Everyone I know pronounces it 'Valenthia'. I should be pronouncing it the same way, especially since Castilian Spanish is the dialect I was taught. Instead, I'm the only one in my circle who pronounces it 'Valensia'. Now granted, I checked it on Wikipedia and it says that this is one way to pronounce it in Valencian Catalan, but still, it's weird. I shouldn't be doing it.)
And because I've already finished my yogurt, and because it would be a good idea to go to bed and get some sleep (it's merely 1:10 a.m., but at the thought that I'm operating on a four-hour sleep from yesterday night, I feel an urgent need to go to bed), I'm leaving you. Plot-bunnies, will work on you tomorrow. I promise. IF you let me sleep today.
See ya,
Anna.
