Unexpected developments amidst boredom
Jan. 4th, 2007 12:51 pmI'm so deathly bored.
So bored that even words to express my boredom won't come. And my fingers are so lazy typing this...
It feels like my existence is pointless these days. What do I do? I sleep half the day, I stay online chatting or reading page after page from humorous sites (btw, check out the GaijinSmash archives: http://www.gaijinsmash.net/archives.phtml), I play Wii and, occasionally, I watch TV. The only useful thing I do is doing two or three Math exercises every day. Which, let me tell you, is not enough studying considering that exams start in 11 days.
I wish I could focus on something productive. Or even on something "remotely" productive, such as writing fic or Beta-Reading (which, at this point, would be welcome as the most productive thing since... uh, you get the idea).
...Vivian just returned my call (read: good friend who's studying in Patra and whom I haven't seen in yonks). She came to Athens for the holidays, and I was hoping to see her today, but she's coming down with the flu, so... :( There's a chance that I might leave with her to Patra on Saturday, though - I'd go to Patra on Sunday with my family anyway, 'cause a cousin of my mother's is getting married there, and she proposed that I go over with her and then meet with my parents again on Sunday for the wedding, the wedding party and the return to Athens. We have yet to discuss it with our parents, but it sounds like a good idea.
Of course, if I actually do that, it means that at least half my Saturday (or more, given how I wake up around noon these days) will be lost productivity-wise, so I'll have to make up for it while I'm here. How very likely. /sarcasm
Though I'm feeling quite rejuvenated at the prospect of taking that trip with Vivian and spending some time with her.
I guess there's hope yet.
