That's my holiday life
Dec. 28th, 2006 12:35 amAy, ay, ay, my leg hurts. Dad says it's because I walked too much today. I went with
athanamia at the Mall and we went up and down and up and down and up and down the floors looking at all the stores, scrutinizing their merchandise and (eventually) buying stuff. I got four lovely pairs of earrings and one necklace from a store that should be dubbed The Jewellery Paradise. If Athanasia had let me, I would have bought half their stock.
My first exam is Anatomy, on January 15. I studied four pages of my material today, getting myself to a grand total of six pages. Only 29 more to go. And then some, because I have material from another book to study, too.I fail at life. Go me.
Why is everyonehaving a life away from their compys now that I'm available? When it will be exams time for me, you guys will be flooding me with comments and emails and you'll be updating your friends pages like crazy. It's no fair.
I'm at episode 94 of La Usurpadora. Almost done with that, too! :D Afterwards, I'll watch Mas Allá De La Usurpadora (I held out that long!! Aren't you proud of me?) and will try to subtitle it for a classmate from uni who wants to see it but doesn't speak Spanish.
Which reminds me - I've had that audiofic I'd started pending for centuries, despite the fact that I'm essentially done with it. *facepalm* Sorry, Paul.
I've been working a bit on Through Times Of War, too. Which is currently running at 59,870 words, making me feel very happy and accomplished. When I'm not thinking that it's utter crap, that is.
I should study more, I really should. Thankfully, my parents aren't pressuring me. They keep telling me that university is nothing like high school, that I'm setting the bar too high by hoping to pass all subjects with good grades, and that it's no big deal if I don't get good grades at some subjects, or even if I flunk a couple. Which is true, the way things are in the Greek universities. So I can procrastinate without feeling guilty. Or, well, to be honest, without feeling as guilty as I would if they pressured me. (Because I doubt I'd study more even if they pressured me.)
I'm discovering the joys of downloading in torrents, too! When I first became aware of that project (when it was brand new... a couple of years ago?) I couldn't get it to work so I had dismissed it. But I tried it again a couple of days ago in order to download the Charmed episode I missed on Sunday. It seems to be working - though the episode is still at 72% complete. Ah well. It will come down eventually.
Bored yet? Okay then, I shall leave you alone.
Peace,
Anna.
