Results of my university access finals
Jun. 22nd, 2006 02:02 pmYo there,
I got the results of the finals for my university access grade today.
Things went almost as I expected: 99% Biology and Adv. Chemistry, 98% Adv. Biology, 94.5% Adv. Physics, 73% Adv. Maths and 76.5% Modern Greek/Composition writing. Therefore, my access grades are:
- 18,594 points for the Health field (Medicine, Biology, Pharmaceutics...)
- 17,960 points for the fields of Natural Sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Maths...), Pedagogic Studies and Polytechnical School (Informatics, Engineering...)
(Best possible grade is 20,000 points)
I'm very annoyed with my Modern Greek grade. You see, each exam paper is graded by two different teachers. The first one gave me a 66%!! The second one gave me a 83%, then because the difference was above 12% my paper had to be graded by another teacher, who gave me a 80%. So my grade was the average of these grades: 76.5%.
Technically, it's not bad. Imagine that, in my entire school, the highest grade someone managed at that subject was 86% - and note that my school has a high percentage of good students. But it annoys me because if two out of three teachers gave me at least 80%, then my paper must have been of that quality, right? Majority rules and everything?
*stabs idiotic teacher*
In all fairness, an 80% at Modern Greek would hardly give me 100 points more. But my complaints are mostly about the heck of it all.
Anyways - these access grades are very good. It's quite likely that I'll miss Medicine (though you never know), but I'm sure to be admitted in Biology. Plus, I'm reconsidering Polytechnical School - I have access to several departments that sound rather interesting...
Will have to consider carefully about my preferences paper... (That's the paper you submit, stating which departments you like and in which order, and then everyone's preferences are compared and the admitted students for each department are revealed.)
...And that's more information than any of you needed. Yeah. I'm off to empty my HD a bit now - those La Mentira episodes have filled it up, and I want to have free space to download more of them and install The Sims 2 Nightlife! (Will go buy it this afternoon :) )
See ya,
Anna.
